With a degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid, he entered the film industry, participating in several films as a storyboard artist and assistant director.

DEMONS YOUR EYES is his third feature film. It premiered at the Official Competition Section of the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2017.. He was in the Malaga Official SelectionZonacine, where it won the awards for "Best Actress" -Ivana Baquero- and "Best Actor" -Julio Perillán-. 2017 marks the first retrospective of his work at the Pesaro International Film Festival (Italy).
In 2019-2020 receives the Spanish Film Academy Residency Scholarships for its feature film project, HUNTING DAYa free adaptation of the film LA CAZA by Carlos Saura. To be shot in 2024.
In 2021 presents the documentary REDESIGNING TOMORROWa project of IKEA, about design and sustainability. It premiered at the Madrid Design Festival and has been present at the Sevilla OFFF and Córdoba I Encuentro Internacional Ciudad de las Ideas festivals. Available in FlixOlé
In 2023 presents his fifth feature film, SPLENDID HOTELin co-production with Straydogs (France) and Mont Fleuri (Morocco), on the story of the poet Arthur Rimbaud in Africa, starring the actor Damien Bonnard. Presented at the Festival Rizoma, Seville "Nuevas Olas" and La Roche-sur-yon. Premiere in December 2023.
Pedro Aguilera is also a professor of "Staging" and has taught at TAI School, Rey Juan Carlos University, FX Animation Barcelona Film School or Carlos III University, among other institutions. He has also taught "Acting Direction" workshops at Verónica Mey Estudio and at the University of Jaén UJA.
